Sizzling Sausage Pie

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 454g sausages or veggie alternative
  • 1 large onion
  • 900g mashed potato
  • 50g cheese, grated
  • 400g tin of baked beans
  • 400g tin of chopped tomatoes

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 190°C or gas mark 5. 

  2. Place tomatoes and beans in an ovenproof dish. Chop the onion finely and add to tomatoes and beans. Roughly cut the sausages and add to the tomato and bean mix. Mix together and pop in the oven until the sausages are cooked through (approximately 45 minutes). 

  3. Cover the sausage mix with mashed potato and grated cheese. Place under the grill to brown, or alternatively return to the oven until brown and bubbly.
