For better weight distribution, please try to wash full loads, with a mixture of large and small items.
Please avoid washing single items by themselves, if possible, especially bath mats and duvet covers which can roll up into a ball and cause weight imbalance in the drum.
Please select the highest suitable spin speed for the programme chosen.
Please clean the drain filter in the bottom-right corner of the machine.
After loading the drum, please close the door firmly.
Check the water inlet stopcock tap supplying the washing machine is fully open.
If possible, check that the water inlet hose is not kinked or blocked and that the filter at the machine end of the inlet hose is not blocked with limescale deposits.
Check that there is good water pressure in the kitchen/utility room by asking your water supplier for advice.
Please check that the drain filter (in the bottom-right-hand corner of the machine) is clean and clear of obstructions.
If possible, please check the location of the drain hose – it should be positioned above floor level, but not more than 1 metre above floor level at any point.
If possible, please check that the drain hose is not bent or kinked.
Do not use drain hose extensions totalling more than 4 metres from the machine.
If draining into a standpipe, do not push the drain hose too far down.
If draining into the waste trap under the sink, check that the installer has removed the blanking plate from the spigot arm connection.
