Two Ingredient Slime

Method

Kids love nothing more than playing with a gooey, oozy slime. Make your own super easy slime at home with just two kitchen ingredients – it’s time to get creative and a little bit messy!

The Science:

The slime looks like a liquid when it’s in a bowl, but as soon as you pick it up and shape it into a ball with your hands, it feels solid. This is because slime doesn’t flow like a normal liquid and its viscosity changes to become more like a solid when under force. Try dropping something into your bowl of slime – you’ll notice that it doesn’t splash like a normal liquid, it’ll actually lock together!

---------------------

  1. Add the cornflour to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Start slowly pouring in water and mixing with your hands until you have a gooey, sticky slime.
  3. If you want to make your slime a different colour, simply add a few drops of food colouring and mix well. Have fun!
