PV GFS Savoy Cabbage and Onions




  1. Heat the butter and oil in a large saucepan until just bubbling.
  2. Add the onion and rosemary season well and stir over a medium heat for about 10 -15 minutes to soften.
  3. Carefully add the cabbage and stir fry over a high heat for a further 2 minutes, until the cabbage softens slightly.
  4. Add the water or vegetable stock season well with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook over a high heat until the water evaporates and the oil and butter coat the cabbage nicely.

Cook time: 10-12 minutes

  • 75g unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 small onion, very thinly sliced

  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

  • 1 small Savoy cabbage, very finely shredded

  • 4 tbsp vegetable stock or water

  • plenty of salt and freshly ground black pepper
