His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent paid a special visit to Liverpool-based cooking appliance manufacturer Belling today, Monday 23rd July, as part of the brand’s 100th birthday celebrations.
Founded in 1912 by Charles Reginald Belling with capital of just £150, a shed in Enfield and a young assistant, Belling has become one of the UK’s best loved appliance brands, with a multi-million pound turnover, worldwide exports and more than 1000 employees in the UK.
Visiting in honour of the manufacturer’s 100th anniversary, the Duke was given a full tour of Belling’s headquarters and factory for a behind-the-scenes look at how its cooking appliances are manufactured in the UK, as well as a presentation about Belling’s commitment to British manufacture.
