3 button programmer
User-friendly and simple to operate, the 3 button programmer can be found on many range cookers and built-in ovens.
76 litre capacity
A tall, fanned second oven with a huge 76 litre capacity is a useful feature of some or our 90cm range cookers. Essential for when you're entertaining the whole family
Child locks
The hobs can be locked to prevent children from touching the controls.
Conventional oven
Ideally suited for baking and roasting by combining heat from the top and base elements
Cook to off programmable timer
A timer that allows you to pre-set when you would like your oven to turn off.
Double oven
An oven with 2 cavities, including a smaller top oven which doubles as a grill.
Easy clean enamel
Allows you to easily wipe away spills
Fan Oven
For even, multi-level cooking. Suitable when cooking on several shelves at once as heat is produced evenly throughout the oven.
Dual fuel
The combination of gas hob with electric oven.
Fastlite element
A hob element sealed under a ceramic hob but with much faster heat response than standard ceramic elements.
Flame safety device
In the event of a flame going out, the device is designed to detect this and will cut off the gas supply. All gas products installed into multi-dwellings such as flats or apartments are required to be fitted with a Flame Safety Device (FSD).
Fully programmable timer
A timer that allows you to pre-set when your oven turns on and off.
Glass lid with auto safety shut-off
When the lid of the hob is lowered, the hob rings shutdown automatically.
Grill
A seperate grill provides added flexibility when cooking and gives the perfect authentic finish to any dish
Hot hob indicator
A light that stays illuminated whilst the hob is still hot to touch.
Main oven
The larger cavity in a double oven.
Minute minder
A countdown timer which alerts you when the set time has elapsed.
One piece hotplace
One piece hob with no joins, eliminating the build of grease and dirt.
Red spot element
Sealed electric hob elements that heat up quicker than standard elements.
Rotary controls
Power is managed by a rotary control knob.
Satin steel
A brushed steel finish that is easy to clean and cool to touch, with the added benefit that it is fingermark resistant.
Slow cook oven
Slow cooker function.
Timer function
Alerts you when the cooking time has elapsed.
Top oven
The smaller cavity in a double oven.
Twin cavity
An oven with a seperate grill.
Warming zone
Low heat hob settings to keep food warm.

Induction glossary

Auto heat-up
Delivers full power to the cook zone for a fixed period of time before automatically turning back down to the desired simmer setting, ideal for pasta recipes.
Automatic switch-off
With the automatic switch off timer you can pre-programme each of the hob's cook zones to power down whenever you wish.
Child lock
The child lock disables all the hob's controls giving you peace of mind when young ones are in the kitchen.
Griddle zone
The two cook zones on one side of the hob can become one large cook zone. This is called the griddle zone function and allows you to cook with larger pots, pans and griddles.
Hot hob indicator
A light that stays illuminated whilst the hob is still hot to touch.
Keep warm function
Delivers constant low temperature, perfect for melting chocolate and preparing delicate sauces.
Minute minder
The minute minder is a timer and alarm system that beeps to tell you when your selected time has elapsed. Think of it as a handy egg timer, built into your hob.
Pan detection function
This means the hob will not function until a suitable pan is placed on the ring.
Pan overheat sensor
If left unattended, the pan overheat sensor automatically shuts down before a dangerous temperature level can be reached. This prevents any accidents should you get distracted or called away from the kitchen.
Pause function
The handy pause function acts just like the pause button on a DVD or music player. One touch literally pauses everything. All cooking functions shut down and can be restarted whenever you're ready, again at the touch of just one button.
Power boost function
Temporarily boosts the normal maximum power by 60% to one cook zone by borrowing power from other elements ideal for wok cooking.
Power slider
Gives you greater temperature control. Simply by pushing the slide control, you are in absolute command of the temperature.
Recall function
Your last temperature setting is automatically saved in the hob's intelligent management system. Using the recall function, you can return a pan to the temperature you last used quickly and easily.
Safety shutdown
If left unattended for a long period, all cook zones on the hob are turned off safely.
