Roast Chicken & Sausage Meat Rolls

Method

METHOD

  1.  Pin out the pastry to a strip 10cm wide and about the thickness of a £1 coin
  2. Allow to rest
  3. Meanwhile gently heat the oil and add the crushed garlic and onion and soften
  4. Take off the heat, allow to cool and add to the sausage meat
  5. Add chicken and parsley and season, mix well
  6. Roll into a sausage shape and lay on puff pastry just off centre
  7. Brush the edges of the pastry with water
  8. Fold the pastry over and seal well by pushing down carefully
  9. Brush the top with beaten egg, score with a fork then egg wash again
  10. Cut this large roll into 6 even parts
  11. Bake 200 c for about 20 minutes
  12. Allow to cool and serve

  • 250gr puff pastry

  • Splash oil

  • ½ chopped onion

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • 300gr sausage meat

  • 200gr chopped chicken meat

  • Salt & pepper

  • 1 egg
