Belling Celebrates 100 Years with 12 Month Campaign
Leading British cooking brand, Belling has announced a dedicated 12 month campaign to celebrate 100 years at the forefront of kitchen innovation.
Founded in 1912 by Charles Reginald Belling with capital of just £150, a shed in Enfield and a young assistant, Belling has become one of the UK’s best loved appliance brands, with a multi-million pound turnover, worldwide exports and more than 1000 employees in the UK.
The year-long centenary celebrations will span trade and consumer PR, trade advertising, point of sale, social media and events and incorporate a new-look website, brochure and history.
The brand will also unveil a limited edition suite of appliances, the 100 Collection, created especially for the 100 year anniversary and featuring a centenary logo.
Furthering its commitments to CSR, in January Belling will ask its Facebook fans and staff to help select a charity of the year from a shortlist of six charities. The brand hopes to raise £10,000 over the course of the year from staff fundraising and a contribution from sales of the 100 Collection.
Denver Hewlett, Chief Executive of Belling, said: “We are extremely proud of our heritage and all that the brand has achieved, so we intend 2012 to be a year of celebration that engages consumers with our history and everything that makes Belling a great British brand.”
The centenary PR campaign will be led by Umpf (consumer) and The Right Agency (trade) in addition to the on-going retained support provided by both agencies.
