1912
Belling is originally founded by Charles A. Belling; at Lancaster Works, Enfield.
1914
Belling moves to a larger works, based in Derby Road, Edmonton.
1925
The company returns to its Enfield origins, relocating to Bridge Works.
1955
Belling continue to expand their operation with purchase of a second manufacturing site in Burnley.
1970
Belling launches the Baby Belling 120, 26 years on, Baby Bellings are still as popular today. Belling has now launched it's new Baby Belling - the Baby Belling Pronto.
1992
Belling is acquired by the Glen Dimplex Group; a leading worldwide manufacturer of heating and domestic appliances including Dimplex and Morphy Richards. The Chairman Martin Naughton, declared from the outset he was committed keeping the Belling brand and culture. This represents the first step towards unifying the Belling, Stoves, and New World brands.
2000
New millennium, sees a new look logo, image and strapline – Belling 'Think of Everything', the millennium also sees many new products launched into the market.
2006
Belling continues to grow, becoming the number 1 cooking brand (GFK July 2008, value MAT) in the market and winning the Domestic and General appliance customer care award for the second year running.
2007
Belling (as part of the Glen Dimplex Home Appliances Group) is awarded number 1 in appliance customer care for a record third year in a row.
2009
Belling launches a brand new look across all built-in ovens, hobs and 60cm freestanding, and have designed and developed some amazing world firsts! Namely the BI60i, the only induction oven that saves up to a massive 50% in energy plus, the PBi60R, the world’s first rotary controlled induction hob. But it doesn’t end there. They have also introduced the Belling Mediachef, a unique and innovative digital cookbook.
